HELP ME PLEASE!!!!! can u solve simultaneously: 7/x - 5/y = 3 2/x + 25/2y = 12 please include working out please. thank you

OpenStudy (danjs):

you can multiply the first one by -2, and the second one by 7, then add them together

OpenStudy (danjs):

-14/x + 10/y = -6 14 /x + 175/2y = 84 -----------------------

ohhh

OpenStudy (danjs):

when you add the two equations, the x variable will go away so you can solve for y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i get it now thank you

OpenStudy (danjs):

welcome

OpenStudy (danjs):

fory linear systems you can - multiply equations by constants - add equations - change order of equations
