Yesterday, I gave it to them. The adverb in the sentence is: 1. yesturday 2. I 3. gave

OpenStudy (kxttxn):

Well an adverb is defined as "a word or phrase that modifies or qualifies an adjective, verb, or other adverb or a word group". We can take "I" out, because that's a noun. Which answer do you think it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it is gave

OpenStudy (kxttxn):

Well gave isn't modifying anything in the sentence- gave would be the verb, as it is what is being done

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yesterday i think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh. Now I understand it xd

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you

OpenStudy (kxttxn):

No problem!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kxttxn was i correct when i said yesterday?

OpenStudy (kxttxn):

Yes you were :)
