OpenStudy (marihelenh):

I have to write a creative and imaginative essay on the prompt, "They said it couldn't be done." I have no idea what to write about. Any ideas that can help me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is not really precise... I do not understand the subject you have to write on...

OpenStudy (marihelenh):

There's really no subject. It is an open ended piece. I can make it fictional or nonfiction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This isn't an argumentative essay then...?

OpenStudy (marihelenh):

No, I can make up a story. I just don't know what to right about. It isn't a very long essay either.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but I don't get the prompt... It is very vague

OpenStudy (marihelenh):

I agree, that's why I'm having trouble. It is just open to interpretation I guess.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you could always go for a story where a teenager is aiming to be an artist, and the teen's close friends and family discourage him/her

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is one example

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or... someone who wants to change genders and has troubles since the surgeons say they can't operate on him/her for X reason

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is pretty much what is coming up to my mind right now

OpenStudy (marihelenh):

Okay, yeah. I see where you are going with that. I'll have to work it out so it is somewhat short, but thank you for your suggestions and help!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem
