3. Contractor 3 tells Mrs. Solar that he charges an hourly rate and that there is no one-time consultation fee. For Parts (a) − (d) below, say whether the graph may represent the fees for Contractor 3. Explain your reasoning.
I'm guessing either d or a is right?
yes, you are right. do you see a difference between the two graphs of a and d?
a starts at the origin and d starts at some point on the x axis?
Yes, you know that the contractor charges an hourly pay. Let's assume that the contractor get's paid 1$ per hour. Can you guess which graph is right with this assumption?
d?
graph A shows you that the contractor get's paid 0$ and 0 hours, then 1$ and 1 hour, then 2$ at 2 hours...... Graph B shows you that the contractor gets paid 0$ at 1 hour, then 1$ and 2 hours.........
YESS!!!
haha I didn't see your reply
Thank you :3
waiiitt no it's a
IT's A
ohh
srry about that, do you understnad why?
because it starts at the origin and no number was given??
no beginning number
well, when you look at graph D you notice that the contractor is getting paid ZERO dollars after an hour. BUT remember he get's paid hourly. So that tells you graph D is wrong
