Complete the equations of the system in slope-intercept form. Use a decimal for the slope if necessary. Line 1 x y –2 4 2 6 Line 2 x y –2 –2 0 4 Line 1: y = ____ x + ______ Line 2: y = ____ x+____

@pooja195 @okdutchman7

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

Slope intercept form is y=mx+b right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

You have two points for each line you just have to graph them and find the slope(m) and the place where the line intercepts the y axis(b)

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

Do you know how to do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol no

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

In line 1 the line moves 1 up for ever 2 it moves over

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

So the slope(m) is 1/2

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

And it crosses the y axis(b) at 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold up 1sec...

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

In line 2 since x=4 the y intercept(b) is 1

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

The slope(m) is 3 because it moves up for every one it moves over.

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

Could you show me how to write that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait is my answer 2/5,5 1/5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or .4 , 5.2

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

In Line 1, 5 is correct but 2/5 is not

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

nvm it should be 1/2 and 5

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

for line 1

OpenStudy (okdutchman7):

Could do line 2 for me?
