what is the differences between virus, virion and prion?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

\(\sf Viruses\) are DNA/RNA covered with a protective protein layer called as capsids. Viruses are acellular and non living outside a host cell. They are considered living only once they have infected a host cell and are inside them. When these are outside a host cell, they are non living particles and are called as \(\sf \bf virions.\) On the other hand \(\sf Prions\) are infective particles composed of proteins and they do not have DNA/RNA
