@yulissag61 @Atsie @jabez177 @bigdaddy971 @pate16 Help!

jabez177 (jabez177):

On the set, which numbers have more than 3 dots?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4,5, and 6

jabez177 (jabez177):

4 is correct but 5 and 6 have only 2 and 1 dot(s). Which numbers have more than 3 dots?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok, i get it, so line 2,3, and 4 have more than 3 dots

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so, 9 is my answer?

jabez177 (jabez177):

Perfect! :) Now we go back to the question, "How many people read more than 3 books during the summer?" Wow! You are good at this! Nice job! I was just explaining it but you got the answer, great job!!! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but 9 isn't one of the answers>

jabez177 (jabez177):

Hmmm... Let me see that again, sorry. :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mybe the students book or' dots ' are what we count, and only the rows with more than three. :) maybe?

jabez177 (jabez177):

No, that would = to 18. Which is also not an answer. Let me think...

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

that's what I was doing....I was counting the dots in rows 4,5,and 6.....am I doing it wrong ?

jabez177 (jabez177):

I don't know @Texaschic101, you're the Honorary Professor of mathematics, not me. :P May you please help him? I have to go to another class.

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

are the people the dots and the number of books read the numbers ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

, dots are the books

OpenStudy (anonymous):

people are the numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ugg bugg

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

hmm...if the dots are the books, then it would be 9....but if the dots are the people, then it would be 7......not 100% sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wait, dots are people.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so, its 7?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

look at the rows that have more then 3 people...which is 4,5, and 6....now add the dots in those rows....there is 7....I think the answer is 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, its 7. Thanks @texaschic101 ;D
