stats SRS help? multiple choice will medal
1. which choice below best describes a subset of a population? statistics census sample* simulation
Since you included no information in your FIRST post, I almost skipped right over this one. Please do your best to present the problem statement AND show you work in the 1st post in each thread you start. What say you? Talk out each point?
well my best guess for 1 is sample because sample and population go together
Did you talk them out? It doesn't have to be a lecture or, anything. Just a thought or two. One for free... statistics - this is taking a sample and doing some calculation on it. census - This is recording everything about everyone. sample* - This is taking some and hoping they are representative of the whole. simulation - This is a fake population or sample. See, it doesn't take much. Can you now decide?
Whoops! Sorry, I deleted your response. I was trying to delete the unnecessary tags. What about my common on "census" leads you to believe that it is a SUBSET of the population? This is clearly "sample". Talk it out and think about it. Don't throw darts.
ohhh. sorry you confused me a little bit haha at first when i thought it was sample, the description didnt really make sence, but now i know. thank you
