@frebrezze Let Brad be 'B' and let Terry be 'T'. You basically have 2 equations. For starters, this might tell you to solve simultaneous equation, where 1. B=3T 2. B+T=60 You can use substitution, where you make one of the variables the subject and put it in the other one. The 1. equation already has B as the subject. Hence we put it on 2. That will be\[3T+T=60\rightarrow4T=60\rightarrow T=15\] Now, you replace the result from 2. to 1. That will be \[B=3(15)=45\]
