When I help out in math, the questions are easy.

I could solve them in 2 minutes.

BUT, when I have to explain it and guide the asker to the answer, it takes 30 minutes, sometimes even an hour.

It's pretty much true for any subject. You cannot learn and master a topic right away. But once you master it, it takes you no time at all to do it, whereas before it might have taken you an hour. :)
