Can I have some help please? http://prntscr.com/9bgayk

random231 (random231):

what should you multiply with -2 to get -6?

jabez177 (jabez177):

Do you know what Coincident means?

OpenStudy (theedwardsfamily):

3 @random231

OpenStudy (theedwardsfamily):

Two lines or shapes that lie exactly on top of each other. http://prntscr.com/9bge35

random231 (random231):

so multiply the same with the other coefficients!

OpenStudy (theedwardsfamily):

ok

OpenStudy (theedwardsfamily):

Im confused a bit...

@welshfella

random231 (random231):

for two lines to be coincident they must pass through same points all the time. so the coefficients of both the lines have to be of the same ratio. if ax+by+c=0 and dx+ey+f=0 are coincident then a/d=b/e=c/f

OpenStudy (theedwardsfamily):

@AlexandervonHumboldt2

OpenStudy (theedwardsfamily):

@KendrickLamar2014 help.

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

Coincident means they are the same line. -2x + 5y = -12 - (you want to get -6x, so multiply everything by 3). Which equals: -6x + 15y = -36

OpenStudy (theedwardsfamily):

oh ok I understand thnx! :P

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

No problem :)

jabez177 (jabez177):

Way better genius than me! ^
