OpenStudy (md152727):

multiple choices?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a. the gravity of the sun and moon pushes and pulls the ocean? b. the gravity of the moon and sun pulls the ocean toward themselves c. the moon's gravity pulls on the oceans d. the sun's gravity pushes on the oceans

OpenStudy (aihberkhan):

Okay so it is definitely b, the gravity of the moon. It is the moon's gravity on the oceans. The sun doesn't play a factor in the tides. It is too far away for it's gravity to affect the earth.
