OpenStudy (sushi121212):

The only way carbon dioxide (CO2) is removed from the atmosphere is through what process?

OpenStudy (jessicahw):

Plants use up CO2 as part of photosynthesis: 6H2O + 6CO2 -> light -> C6H12O6 + O2, I believe.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There are several carbon dioxide removal systems at work on the Earth - photosynthesis, dissolving into the basic (high pH) ocean waters, formation into coral and sea animal shells, chemical deposition as a carbonate
