Question

Water leaks through a hole of area .002 m^2 at the bottom of a cylindrical tank filled with water that has a height 3 m and a base area of 10 m^2. How long does it take for half of the held the water to leak out?

I tried doing this with Bv(y)/A(y) but it didn't work out, probably cause I don't remember exactly how that technique works. Please help me
