calculater

amount left at some time = start amount* e^(-k * time)

that is exponential decay

for the half life, you want to know when the amount left is 1/2 of the start amount

so then you can put that in and cancel out the start amount


1/2 = e^(-k*t) t=t1/2 half life time

that is pretty much it, depends on the situtation to determine the k constant
