In ΔLMN, ∠N is a right angle, LM = 76, and MN = 40. What is m∠M ? 28° 32° 40° 58°

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

LMN... Three letters, so three points, so three sides. Only one shape with three sides right? A triangle. The total the angles in a triangle equals 180. If you have two angles and all equal 180 when said and done, what should you do?

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

Omg, I read this wrong, I'm sorry. They are side measurements. So they give two sides and one angle (90). I gtg soon, but follow this. You need side LN, which is the hypotenuse. Use Pythagorean Theorm. Once you find that side, use ratios Like 90. X ---- = ------- Hypotenuse. 76 Then repeat. I will help you when I get home. Sorry for the vague help

Okay I'm still a bit confused.
