Can somebody please help me learn how to solve this problems, I need help check 5 practice question too. I will medal. :)
to isolate y first step as follows: 5x-7-10 -7y=-5x-10 change the 5x to this side as negative now, divide by -7 and you'll have: -7y = -5x + 10 --- --- --- -7 -7 -7 the final answer is y = 5/7x - 10/7
Oh, That makes sense. Thanks cx Can you help with 4 more?
sure thing :)
How would I solve this?
try plugging in each ordered pair into the equation, in this case the first coordinate of the ordered pair is "a" and the second coordinate is "b". when you try plugging in each ordered pair you should get (7,0) as a solution, because when you put 7 in for "a" in the equation and 0 for "b' you get 21-0=21. therefore (7,0) is the ordered pair that satisfies this equation. the answer is C.
A*
the answer is (7,0), lol
Lol. Thank you so much, You're helping me learn this so much better then my teacher.
What about this?
aha thank you! xD
to determine if the ordered pair satisfies the equation simply plug the x coordinate into the equation wherever you see and plug the y coordinate into the equation wherever you see y. so let's take the first ordered pair: (3,-8) the x value=3 and the y value= -8. so now wherever you see an x, instead put 3 and wherever you see y, instead put -8. when you do you get: [(3) x (3)] - [(-8) / (4)] = 11. when you simplify you get: 9 + 2= 11 and that does work. so (3, -8) is a solution to this equation. do the same thing with the second ordered pair. and when you do you should get: [(3) x (4)] -[(4) / (4)]= 11 and once you simplify you get 12-1= 11. so both ordered pair satisfy the equation. answer A is correct.
Okay, Great, I think it's...A?
(2+7)1 = 10 9+1 = 10?
yes, you're correct!
A?
it's D.
Thank you so much for the help. :)
you're very welcome. :)
