Equivalent to what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

those files up there

pooja195 (pooja195):

Are those the options or questions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

options

pooja195 (pooja195):

Ok where is the original question?

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

you're missing the fraction in your question :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats the fraction lololololol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:(

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

let's first try to simplify the given fraction first :) do you know how to simplify fractions? ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not negative fractions

pooja195 (pooja195):

Treat them like positive fractions

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

it's the same idea :) for example since if you simply 2/6 you would get 1/3 simplifying -2/6 would just be -1/3 it's as easy as that ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

pooja195 (pooja195):

Infact you don't even need to worry about the sign here :) 30 and 48 Can you find the GCF?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-15over24?

pooja195 (pooja195):

Nope find the GCF of 30 and 48

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

well it's close! you can try dividing it again by 3

pooja195 (pooja195):

that words too :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10 over 16? closest i can get

pooja195 (pooja195):

30/6=? 48/6=? You divided by 3 first but we need to divide by 3 again gcf of 30 and 48 is 6 so just diivde by 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4 by 6???????????????????????????????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4 by 8 oops

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorrrrrry brain dead it should be 5 by 8

pooja195 (pooja195):

Good and just add the - sign ^_^ you get -5/8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

pooja195 (pooja195):

yw thank @jigglypuff314 too :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
