Hi welcome to openstudy :) Since we are solving for x just divide both sides by -2 -2/-2 leaves just x 10/-2=?

divide both sides by -2 and flip the sign > to < because we are diving on -

solve: -2x>10 answer: -5 solve:(x-2)+3=7 answer:x=6 given: 6x-8=4x; solve for x answer:x=4 solve for y and simplify: 6x-2y=20 answer:y=3x-10
