Arlo works at a paint store. A formula for a certain color calls for 3/5 L of green paint. Arlo wants to make 1/3 less paint than the formula creates. How much green paint should Arlo use? Express your answer as a fraction in simplest form.

Just multiply that (3/5) liter by 1/3. Write the fractions as follows:\[\frac{ 1}{ 3 }*\frac{ 3 }{ 5 }\]
Note: The multiplication is easier if you'd cancel out (reduce) the (3/3).
mathmale since he wants 1/3 less, I think it should be 2/3 times 3/5. You made it for 1/3 of the a full batch. Right?
