OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

What is a relation and what makes it different from a function? How can you determine if a relation is a function? How can you determine the domain and range of a function?

OpenStudy (caozeyuan):

relation is mapping one set to another, but for it to be function, the same x cannot produce to different y. e.g. x^2+y^2=1 is valid relation, since it maps R to R, but not a function since every x in the domain givens you two y's, except 0

OpenStudy (caozeyuan):

domain is the set of all possible x's, range is the set of all possible y's

OpenStudy (safyousuff97):

thank you :)
