If you like baton, you should go to Limited Edition, Extreme Hotshots, etc. But one place you should not go to is Janet’s School of Dance. Janet’s is not even close to good.

Janet’s is a small building, and when you practice you need room. Sure you can go outside, but what about in winter? She uses church benches as couches for her parents, because they are not aloud to leave the building if the children are young. Her classes are thirty minutes long at the most, and she wastes that little time eating and ordering food!


Janet says very rude comments such as “You look like you just came from Detroit” to me when I wore high heels to practice and wore jogging pants because it was winter, and “I should call you wah, wah Abby” because my friend Abby sprained her finger and tried her best on stage but apparently it just wasn’t good enough for Janet, “Girls who dye their hair are disgusting” because one my friend Hailey died her hair pretty blue at the bottom. Janet makes favorites in her classes and makes other people feel bad about themselves.


Janet made a tryout for the teams, and she lied to me and said we would only have to catch three tricks in three tries. Later she added tricks to each individuals tryouts, which was not fair because we all tried out for the same teams. She also lied to my parents and said I made the senior shakers, a pom pom team, but I found out from another parent that I made the junior team, which was not what I tried out for.


Janet’s is not a good studio. She tells us to do tricks, but she cannot do them herself! Janet’s is a start for beginners, but after awhile when you are more advanced you should quit like baton queens did and move on to another baton studio.
