OpenStudy (xhawaiiangirlx):

A theater company charges $4.50 per ticket for people of all age groups. If c represents the total number of children who bought tickets and a represents the total number of adults who bought tickets, which expression best represents the total money earned by the company from the sale of tickets? 4.5(c + a) 4.5c + a c + 4.5a 9(c + a) @FriendZone @Frozen15@malcomswain @the_ocean_girl

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is the second one

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

I believe it's a. If 4.50 is the cost for all age groups, then in order to get the right answer, you would multiply both variables by the cost to get the total amount earned by the company

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

Ocean_Girl is correct. B represents that only children were charged and adults got in free. C represents adults were charged and children got in free. D represents that both were charged double the original price
