Use matrices to solve the following sets of Simultaneous Linear Equations: 3x + y = 5 x + 3y + z = 10 5x + 2y – 3z = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do I use matrices to do this??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need to choose two variables and set them so they cancel each other out. Then do a similar process for two different ones so you can isolate the values for the different variables.

For example 3x + y = 5 x + 3y + z = 10 What would you need to multiply the second one by to cancel out 3x?

Are you there?
