OpenStudy (maddy1251):

This isn't math specifically but I really need some help. A stone is dropped from a cliff. Its speed one second after being released is about 6m/s 8m/s 10m/s 0m/s 4m/s

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

I chose 10 m/s.

OpenStudy (phi):

have you learned velocity = acceleration * time in this case, acceleration is due to gravity, and g= 9.8 m/sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your right

OpenStudy (phi):

so V = 9.8 m/sec^2 * 1 sec = 9.8 m/sec or about 10 m/sec

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

@phi Yes, I have. Okay. Now I see how it is 10. I was basically thinking that, but I second guessed and wasn't too sure

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

Thank you so much

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you made a smart gusse

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

@sameri I guess so, I'm relieved xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol your just smart
