Math question. (Question below c:)
Hold on, hold on, I'm putting in the equation. :P
gosh willie, go faster :(
jkjk
How do I simplify this? \[\frac{ 24 }{ 40x }\] A. \[\frac{ 2 }{ 5x }\] B. \[\frac{ 3 }{ 5x }\] C. \[\frac{ 3 }{ 5 }\] D. \[\frac{ 4 }{ 5 }\]
Do you know how to find GCF?
Greatest Common Factor? Idk I didn't make it to my class to teach me this. I just guess that's what it meant...
Ok well let's list out the factors of 24. 24: What is 24 divisible by? What are all of the numbers that can divide into 24 and will result in a whole number?
24: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8
There's a few more. :)
I keep having to refresh my page. :l
Yeah OS is super laggy :|
Yeah, I know there's more. 24: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24.
Yep. Now do the same for 40.
When you do that, look at them and decide which numbers they have in common. The largest is the GCF With the GCF, you divide both the numerator and the denominator and then you have the simplified form.
I'm still here. Idk why it says I'm not viewing this question. =/
40: 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 20, 40.
24: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24. 40: 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 20, 40. GCF = 8?
Yes. Now divide each by 8.
So it's C! :D
Right? :P
@♪Chibiterasu I'm going with C. Thanks for the help! :D
Nvm. I'm going with B.
I GOT IT RIGHT! :D
