OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can someone help me with products of rational expressions??!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

usually it means "factor and cancel" not always though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(3y)/(y^2 - 16) · (y + 4)/(y^2) heres the question..

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

\(\large\color{#000000 }{ \displaystyle \frac{3y }{y^2-16} \times \frac{y+4 }{y^2} }\)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

you have to be aware of: \(a^2-b^2=(a-b)(a+b)\)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Use that rule to factor the \(y^2-16\). (Note that 16 is \(4^2\))
