jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

ahh proofs :) the first point is always a "Given" what information is given to you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That MP=NP?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

On the second one in reasons it's given as well correct?

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

exactly! great job ^_^ and then we can try to remember that Reflexive property is when segment AB = semgent AB

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so Reflexive Property would be number 3 on reasons correct?

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

perfect!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But MOP=NOP is not given so would that be some time of angle...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

type*

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

I personally believed that they messed up their blanks :-/ I don't think you can prove congruency with just SSA

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wouldn't that actually be Angle Side Angle ( ASA )? SSA doesn't work it is not allowed o:

rvc (rvc):

SAS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but what would number 5 be then? SOOO confusing >.<

rvc (rvc):

i havent done such type of questions but wouldnt it bbe MO~ON ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait would number 5 be: PNO=PMO

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, Well we have to prove that MO is congruent to ON

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

yeah last step is saying that you have proved what they wanted you to prove in this case (triangles) it is usual CPCTC

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, that makes sense. Thank you! But on problem 10 they only give me one given how am i suppose to figure out the rest?

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

right angles are equal to each other (I forgot the name of that rule)

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

then HL is to show that the triangles are equal to each other I gtg to class, sorry that I couldn't help more :-/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay, thank you for the help but i still don't understand number 10..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@RVC do you understand this?

rvc (rvc):

lol sorry i forgot that i was on openstudy n now i have to go :( ill tag someone who will help u : @ganeshie8 @UsukiDoll @welshfella

OpenStudy (welshfella):

in number 10 you first prove that the triangles SUT and VUT are congruent. UK geometry is a bit different to US and I'm not familiar with all the reasons used . Statement 2 would be TU = TU ( or TU is common in UK) Statement 3 would be that 2 triangles are congruent Statement 4 that side ST is congruent to side UV I have no idea what CPCTC means having proved that the 2 triangles are congruent if follows that sides ST and UV are also congruent

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

I have no idea what CPCTC means having proved that the 2 triangles are congruent if follows that sides ST and UV are also congruent ^ that's that CPCTC means xD

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

anyways @https.wild_ do you still need help? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I figured it out by myself but thank you for all of the help everyone! (:

jaynator495 (jaynator495):

Poop i was about to help them... Proofs are too easy... Meh... *flys off to next question* @https.wild_ please close your question :)
