i can try
OpenStudy (lilblister):
Ok thanks. I will post the picture
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok :D i am working on a proof in school also lol
OpenStudy (lilblister):
OpenStudy (lilblister):
Haha! i struggle with these. Thanks for your help btw

well the first one you always just copy the given and write it down
OpenStudy (lilblister):
Ok the given right.
OpenStudy (lilblister):
So the first box would say in the
statement box : AB=CD, AD=CB
Then in the Reason : Given
Right?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yep :D
OpenStudy (lilblister):
Ok good :D

hold on :D
OpenStudy (lilblister):
Ok :)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i am not quite sure . . . . what the second or third one would be . . . but ik the last one is probably CPCTC and ABD=BCD but that is all i can think of i am sorry :/
OpenStudy (lilblister):
Thats ok! Thanks for helping me out this far :) @AlexisT20
OpenStudy (lilblister):
Can anyone else help :o

np :D and ask the math chat see if anyone can
OpenStudy (lilblister):
Ok thanks!
OpenStudy (lilblister):
@the_ocean_girl I put a picture of the proof above ^
Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):
I just did these! Let's get started!
Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):
So immediately, you can write in the Givens

Awesome thanks so much!
OpenStudy (lilblister):
OpenStudy (lilblister):
Is that right so far?
Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):
i think the givens count as 2 different parts of the proof
OpenStudy (lilblister):
Ok awesome that makes it a little easier XD

Ok i did that.
OpenStudy (lilblister):
Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):
Okay so what's another obvious proof
OpenStudy (lilblister):
ABD=BCD?
Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):
How about BD= BD

OpenStudy (lilblister):
Ok. That goes in the next box?
Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):
Yep, do you know what property that is?
OpenStudy (lilblister):
No i dont :P sorry im really bad at this lol
Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):
It's fine we all have our struggles! It's like saying a=a. Which is like a mirror, it reflects. So it's the reflexive property!
OpenStudy (lilblister):
Oh ok gotcha lol. So that would go in the reasoning box next to the statement box BD=BD right

OpenStudy (lilblister):
Wait is it the reflexive or reflective?
Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):
Reflexive and yes that would go in the reasoning box next to BD=BD
OpenStudy (lilblister):
Ok great
OpenStudy (lilblister):
Would that last box be ASA or something
Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):
Did we use any angles to prove the congruence?

No. So it would be SSS?
OpenStudy (lilblister):
Btw sorry if it takes me a little to reply. For some reason i have to refresh then your response shows.
Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):
It's okay, and yes! It would be SSS. The givens gave us congruent sides, and we proved the third side, BD was congruent by the reflexive property! So the triangles would be congruent by the SSS postulate!
OpenStudy (lilblister):
Awesome thanks so much! Do u think you could help me with one more?

@the_ocean_girl
Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):
Do you know CPCTC?
OpenStudy (lilblister):
Kind of lol. Its Corresponding parts of congruent triangles congruence or something
Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):
Corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent, that's all your missing! The parts are congruent because the triangles are congruent
OpenStudy (lilblister):
Oh ok. one sec.
