3 questions 1. What causes an electric charge? 2. A 12 volt car battery produces more current than a 1.5 volt battery for a TV remote because… 3. Electric current can be measured. It is a rate. What does that mean?

Hi there, @LittleHeron! ^-^ \(\Huge\color{red}\ast\) \(\Huge\mathcal{Welcome\ to\ Openstudy!}\) \(\Huge\color{red}\ast\) For Q1: Taken from wiki "Electric charge is the physical property of matter that causes it to experience a force when placed in an electromagnetic field." For Q2: A car bettery has a greater difference in electric potential energy. A 12V battery produces more current than a 1.5V battery produces, through the same device, because the potential difference between the terminals of the 12V battery is 8 times the potential difference between the terminals of the 1.5V battery. For Q3: Taken from wiki, again, "The SI unit for measuring an electric current is the ampere, which is the flow of electric charge across a surface at the rate of one coulomb per second. Electric current is measured using a device called an ammeter.. Next time, please post these questions in the physics section, and try to post one question at a time. Thanks! ^-^
