OpenStudy (anonymous):

In a true democracy, the media—magazines, newspapers, and digital and television news—are tightly controlled by the government.

OpenStudy (shishi990):

whats the question

OpenStudy (shishi990):

ughhh i seen that but what are ... are you asking what happens in a true democracy?

OpenStudy (shishi990):

i think its true

OpenStudy (zombrexi):

I'm not good when it comes to this, but I believe it is false. A democracy is supposed to be free and full of ideas. In other words, people have a right to believe what they want to, and view whatever they want to. It wouldn't be a democracy if everything was strictly controlled. For example, let's say there are 5 presidential candidates for your school, but your principle restricts you to only vote on two. That is NOT a democratic behavior. (I hope this makes sense.)
