this is a very debatable question. theoretically any of the answers can be answers. i would contact your teacher about this. my guess would be He saw the United States as an oppressive, occupying force that was evil and harmful to Islam. but no one knows for sure what he was thinking

I would think it would be number 3 because he was part of that terrorist group, and he was always wanting revenge on the USA. I hope that helps.
