Do you know anything about similar figures?
ops I didnt mean to put down that question I only meant to put the second one
That is good though. If you know the answer to the first question, you should be able to solve the second equation.
really? let me look at it again
hang on real quick. :)
That's all right, take your time. :)
thank you
I am trying to figure out the second question but I am stuck. :/
Okay, what was your answer for the first question?
My answer for the first question was the last one - Both (a) and (b)
Good, B states that the sides should form equivalent ratios. Take choice B for example: Side A: 10/20=2, Side B: 7/14=2, Side C: 15/28= 0.535 Since 0.535 is not equal to 2, B is incorrect.
In my first statement, B refers to the second choice for the first question, while from then on it meant the second choice in the second question. Sorry if there wads any confusion.
*was
I am confused. 😬
Alright, if you take a side of the figure represented and divided it by a side for one of the triangles in the answer choices you should get a number. When all three of these numbers match, you have your answer.
?
Okay, take option A. The side lengths are 30, 21, and 45 Side A: 30/10=3, Side B: 21/7=3, Side C: 45/15=3 Because all the numbers match, it is your answer. Get it?
This means that the triangle that choice A represents is a similar triangle just scaled by a factor of 3
ohhhh, I think I get it now
Cool, if that's all then.
so my answer is the first one right?
