I was thinking B on this, but it could also be C. They're kind of similar options.

No debate starts off so sorrowfully and nor is any lecture this weak. A conversation seems unordinary in this sense as far as how one talks to another.
I would definitely go with A, I haven't a doubt.

Well, could you agree with it being a lecture? a lecture is typically delivered in front of an audience and it can be a speech that brings forth warning. Lincoln delivered the speech at a dedication of a cemetery, so not necessarily a funeral. Plus, he did it to mainly warn people that, if we did not keep an eye out for our nation, something would go horribly wrong (which it has, but I'll stay out of politics for now).
