Hey guys can anyone help me on some math. It is 7th grade math. I will medal and fan of you help me on some!!!
im in 7th grade ill be glad to help if you need it :)
what do you need help on?
Which expression is not equivalent to the other expressions? A:7+0.5 times 4 exponent 2 B:2.5 times (16-2 exponent 2) C:(3 exponent 3+3) /2 D:(20+5 exponent 2) /3
@mrsconnorjessup
Well you have to use order of operations so A= 7+.5x4^2 would be 15 because 4 squared is 16, half of that is 8, and finally 7+8=15. B would be 12 from the parenthesis then times that by 2.5= 30. So either A or B is your answer. C is 15, too. (B is your answer) D must equal 15. Last year when I was in seventh grade I never wanted to do the whole problem so all you really have to do in seventh grade is the first three unless they are all the same. If you need anymore help, tell me.
How many like terms are in the expression: 10y+10z-13x-4z+10+2xy ? A: 2 B: 3 C: 4 D: 5
So b on the first question?
Yes, B. Well, like terms are things that can be combined. 10y can be combined with other y's in the sentence as long as it is the same exponent (as you'll learn later, it's so fun ;-)). 10z can be combined with -4z, but since you don't have to solve the equation don't worry about it. I'm pretty sure you cannot combine 10y with 2xy, because 10y doesn't have an x. I think it's A for the second question and B for the first.
Simplify 17s+3t-9-5t+9-12s . A: 14s-2t-9 B: 3st C: 5s-2t D: 14s-t
sorry i don't get get it
This is the combing like terms that was in problem 2 but this time you must solve. I'd recommend writing this down and doing it while you read this. This is preparing you for the type of algebra in the next grades, so don't worry you'll have plenty of time to learn this. Combine +3t with -5t, =-2t. Write that down. Then combine -9 and 9, which goes away or in math terms 'cancels out'. Then combine 17s with -12s. Which gives you 5s. 17s was first in the problem so it goes up front. 5s-2t, which was...
Is it C?
C... Sorry it was lagging. Any more problems?
No I think I am good thanks!!!
