Yes, when opening a new question, not when answering an open question. :)

You can get around it by like typing up some equation, copy-pasting that into a question or whatever. But don't. The site is broken and it won't work.

You can't use LaTeX in the question box anymore?

There is no button for Equation editing in the question box. :/
