In order to make sure it can be formed Side A + Side B must be greater than side C. It can't be equal nor greater.

Note: Side A and Side B can be whichever, as long as the longest side is C

If A+B is less than C, the legs will be too short
If A+B equals C, that wouldn't even make sense
