can someone please help me, i really need it. Choose the correct Spanish translation for "This thing is small, and that thing is large." A. Esta cosa es chico, y esa cosa es grande. B. Esta cosa es chica, y esa cosa es grande. C. Esta cosa son chicas, y esa cosa son grandes. D. Estas cosas son chicas, y estas cosas son grandes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Pretty sure its B. (:

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

@jakyfraze What do you think?

OpenStudy (nerdsarecool):

Its b

OpenStudy (nerdsarecool):

Ya its B

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Betting that all you did was see a "pretty girl" answer the question and you instantly agree with her. c: Yup. Good one.

OpenStudy (jakyfraze):

@TheRaggedyDoctor no :/ i was not on the computer

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

I meant the Grinch @Nerdsarecool. Not you. You're cool. c:

OpenStudy (jakyfraze):

@TheRaggedyDoctor oh haha. can you help me bro I'm really bad at Spanish

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

This thing is small, and that thing is large. This thing - Esta cosa ("Esta" is feminine, therefore "cosa" has to be feminine, too. There isn't a masculine way of saying "cosa.") is small - es chica (Remember about the sentence being feminine.) and that thing - y esa cosa is large. - es grande.

OpenStudy (jakyfraze):

@TheRaggedyDoctor i'll give a medal for each question?

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Sure. If you want.

OpenStudy (jakyfraze):

oh god thank you. so what's the answer for this question?

OpenStudy (jakyfraze):

@TheRaggedyDoctor i choose A. but I'm not sure

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

You're most welcome! But remember, the sentence is feminine and "chico" is masculine. Try again.

OpenStudy (jakyfraze):

@TheRaggedyDoctor C.?

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Esta cosa son chicas, y esa cosa son grandes. - "Esta" is singular. "chicas" is plural. "son" is plural for "is." Try again.

OpenStudy (jakyfraze):

B.?

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Yes! c: Esta cosa es chica, y esa cosa es grande. The whole sentence matches. Everything is singular.

OpenStudy (jakyfraze):

@TheRaggedyDoctor are you sure?

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

Yes. Spanish was and still is my first language. Esta cosa es chica, y esa cosa es grande. That thing is small, and that thing is large.

OpenStudy (jakyfraze):

oh man thank you. your awesome @TheRaggedyDoctor man

OpenStudy (theraggedydoctor):

I meant This not That. Thanks, though! You're welcome! c:
