OpenStudy (anonymous):

If a bacteria started at 5000 after 2 hours it grew to 6500 bacteria. Predict how many bacteria will be present after 18 hours. Round to the nearest whole number.

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

here we have to write the function \(y(t)\) which expresses the number of bacteria at time \(t\)

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

in general a function which represents a population of bacteria is an exponential growth. Such function is: \(\huge y(t)=A \cdot B^t\) where \(t)\) is time measured in hours so, using data of the problem, we have to establish the values of both constants \(A\) and \(B\)
