A girl's feet are negative 2 over 4 yards from the surface of a pool. A boy's feet are negative 3 over 4 yards from the surface of the pool. Determine whose feet are closer to the surface.
What do you think?
A? or C but mostly A
A is correct because when dealing with two negative numbers, the negative number closer to zero is going to be closer in distance.
Thank you! what's the medal next to your name?
Are you referring to the medal that I gave you, or are you trying to give me a medal?
whats the medal for? Im new
A medal is sorta a reward for the person that helped you with your question. You give these medals by clicking the "Best Response" button on one of their replies.
o okay You will get one :)
"A girl's feet are negative 2 over 4 yards from the surface of a pool. A boy's feet are negative 3 over 4 yards from the surface of the pool." These children have been birthed with some really strange feet. o__o
These medals will then raise their SmartScore, or SS. This is that number in your circle. Mine is 88, and yours is 18. The more you participate on this site, the more your SS will increase.
Hahaha yeah and o okay orange master
I think the question is saying that these kids are plenty in the pool. The -2/4 isn't referring to the size of their feet, but the distance. @Cardinal_Carlo
The evidence suggests the contrary @OrangeMaster. Look at the prompt: "Determine whose feet are closer to the surface." Whose feet is it? is what they're asking. 'Feet' is used as a noun. They're really talking about feet.
To add: the measure of distance used in the given prompt is in yards.
