when there is a vowel after the last consonant of the word you pronounce it

suis = swee

but with "Etudiant" you pronounce the last 's'

I'm actually trying to say it out loud. Its easier seeing it spelled in English bit by bit.

I actually was saying it like "j - a" with a subtle addition of the "e" although more than likely it was wrong, but who knows.
