what is the measure of the exterior angle if the regular polygon has 18 sides

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

Do you know what the total number of degrees each polygon is? (For exterior angles)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

It would be the same as a rectangle or square, for example. All of the exterior angles would have to equal 360 degrees. So let's use a rectangle for example. A rectangle has 4 sides and the total is 360 degrees. How would you find out the angle of one side?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

For any polygon of any number of sides, the sum of the measures of the exterior angles, one per vertex, is 360 degrees. If the polygon is regular, then all exterior angles are congruent. Just divide the sum of the measures of the exterior angles by the number of vertices.
