Why is it that we allow people to ask the same basic question over and over again?

We allow them to ask their question.
We thought that we taught them.
They then say they understand.
Less than a minute later they post essentially the same question.
This happens over and over again until we answered all of their ridiculous questions.

Sometimes people don't understand that "one time" 
This is a study site it is our job to help users you don't understand a certain concept. IF they want to ask a similar question like the previous one again then let them.

Ridiculous questions? Now that's a bit harsh. Once again this is a study site. We encourage that users ask questions. Even if it's a question that has already been taught to them before. It would be a different story if they posted the SAME question over and over but if its just similar problems then its alright. 
However perhaps on the next one you can tell them,"We did a similar problem like the previously, can you try to attempt answering your question? I'll guide you through :-) "

Some users are shy to ask for help. I happen to be one of them.  Users are afraid to ask for help at times because they are afraid they might get called stupid or the person explaining the concept will get mad.  
Bottom line is: We allow questions of the same type as this is a study site and we encourage those questions. I hope this answered your question.

Sometimes, someone might feel embarrassed or whatever if they kept saying they didn't get it. Who knows? But you just gotta have patience and answer them again as nicely and politely as you did the first time. c:
