Okay I'm not sure what a constant of variation is but I can help you with everything else

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

Do you know the formula for slope?

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

Okay so for the first question, plug in the values and see what you get

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

\[\frac{ 1-(-3) }{ 1 - (-2) }\] that would be your formula for slope

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

what did you get after solving that formula?

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

good! so that's the slope for that question Now you didn't post the graph but what you can do is find 2 points where you can clearly identify the x and y values and then just do the same thing to find the slope

OpenStudy (micahm):

if this is a math question please post in the math area

OpenStudy (micahm):

my bad i though i was in history

OpenStudy (mrnood):

if x vartes directly with y then th eequation is y= mx m is the constant of variation so take -4y=8x and rearrange it to y = mx . m is oyur answer then.
