CAN SOMEONE READ MY FIRST PARAGRAPH FOR MY  ESSAY AND CORRECT ME..the prompt is this: Write an essay in which you examine how the portrait of Dorian Gray is used as a symbol in this novel. Consider its symbolic meaning to the three main characters and/or as a doppelganger (or double) to Dorian.

First paragraph (unfinished): From the novel, The Picture of Dorian Gray represents the beauty of the art and how it took the time to finish the portrait. Dorian Gray who is in the portrait and seems to be loved by Basil Hallward, was a thing of beauty.

Is this paragraph the intro because if so for the novel the you need the date it was published, and the author, also italicize or underline the title depending on what your teacher prefers.

Example (Which you can use if you wish):
The novel The Picture of Dorian Gray, written in 1890 by Oscar Wilde has a symbolic portrait......

I have not read the book so I do not know how to continue on with that but this is how I recommend the essay to start.
