OpenStudy (lord2clash):

What is the perimeter of a triangle with vertices located at (-1, 4), (2, 7), and (1, 5), rounded to the nearest hundredth?

OpenStudy (triciaal):

the perimeter is the sum of the 3 lengths all around the triangle. plot the points to "see" better. use the distance formula if necessary to find the lengths then just add them. to the nearest hundredths means to 2 decimal places. to round look at the 3rd decimal place if 5 or more add 1 to the second decimal place and if the third decimal is less than 5 just drop it .

OpenStudy (triciaal):

do you know how to plot points (x,y)? do you know the distance formula ( same as pythagorean theorem) ?
