OpenStudy (mathmale):

Whew! So glad you were able to post an image showing these fractions. To combine these fractions, you must identify the Lowest Common Denominator (LCD), and then modify each fraction so that it has the LCD in the denominator. Can you do that? What are ALL of the factors of ALL of the denominators of the given fractions?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Hint: identify the factors of x^2 - 9 and 4x - 12. What's the LCD?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Hey, Hayhayz, I need your involvement here. Unfortunately, I also need to get off the Internet for a while. There are plenty of others on OpenStudy who can help you.

OpenStudy (malcolmmcswain):

Ok, so I'm going to continue mathmale's explanation...

Hayhayz (hayhayz):

okay... my laptop is being super glitchy and slow rn..

OpenStudy (malcolmmcswain):

So, let's find the LCD
