I believe it is C, because the writer says "I imagine a day when I can wake up, eyes clear and untroubled. Wake up and think, what should I do today? The sad reality is that I feel this urge,  an invisible clock ticking, spurring me to action." This shows desperation to me, because the writer seems to be troubled at the present time, and hopes to one day be untroubled and in no hurry.
