Which of the following points lie in the solution set to the following system of inequalities? y ≤ x − 5 y ≤ −x − 4 (1, 10) (−1, 10) (10, 1) (1, −10)

OpenStudy (sushi121212):

The answer is (1, -10) because: y ≤ x − 5 y ≤ −x − 4 -10 ≤ 1-5 which is: -10 ≤ -4 (in negative numbers, the smaller the number is, the higher it is) -10 ≤ -1-4 which is: -10 ≤ -5 ( -5 is greater than -10)
