To compliment with @satellite73 : A line is the geometric body where all the points represent a "differential quotient" that is constant, or if you may; all the points in the plane that represent the direction of a vector inside a vectorial space. A line can be represented with the form: \(y=mx+c\) which is also called the "explicit form" of the line. "m" represents the slope and "c" the y-intersection of the line.
